If anyone can find out any more details about the girl who fell over the second floor balcony to her death, referring to the age and the identity of this girl, please share the info. The fact the Constance has been named as being that girl still is in question because of the age.....? The stone in the cemetery has her at 21 when she died on that September day, yet there's this little girl that keeps coming up in the story of the accident..... If it indeed was Constance that died in that manner, I wonder if there could have been any other "little girl" who may have passed away in that part of the mansion......????? (Just gives me a headache!) So please continue searching, okay?

I have no clue who the little girl could be. Our group has not been able to find record of it. If I remember correctly George says it's something he's been told for awhile. Without a name I believe it will be very hard to find. Constance did die at 21 or was it 22 my mind is failing me at the moment (too early) in September. So, you know Ohio weather can be crazy, but it's never that i have found in weather records been frozen at the end of September. In the records that we have found it says that Constance died of consumption not a fall off. We gave George these records so he would have them on his family.

Wonderful information!!! Thank you so much for sharing your research with us! I carry on some of the tours and have a real hard time when I'm up in "Constance's" room trying to explain the "stories" of the fall from the balcony..... Since there's not a lot been written down, we'll have to rely on what we can find out from research otherwise in order to know some actual facts... it's hard for me to tell a theory as fact where history is concerned, ya know?? So thanks for your input!!! We'll get this right!!

No problem at all. We're all in this to help one another right? I agree. I have a hard time when people say stuff without having the facts. If you don't know for sure how could you say it's a fact (not talking about any one thing in general) If it's a story or legend, then in my opinion it is perfectly fine to say it is not known for sure. When we handed the stuff we found, George had put it in the file cabniet by the register. I'm sure it's been moved since then though.
