 Post subject: Secret Tunnels?
PostPosted: Sat Sep 29, 2007 9:11 am
Everyone asks me if there are secret tunnels that funnelled slaves from the mansion to safe transportation north to freedom. I didn't know of any in the mansion but I wondered then how slaves were transported to the riverboats and railroads where they could travel to safety??????? and Is or was there a space underneath the Servant's part of the mansion that separated the refugees from the basement in the event of attempted intervention?
