Has anyone else caught the new show on sci-fi ghost hunters international? Now, I usually really like ghost hunters, taps, whatever you want to call them, but this show is a little out there. I really love the thrill you get from being in the dark, not knowing who's there with you, but some of these guys are just a little too freaked out about everything What do you guys think? Bryan I think would jump at his own shadow. It's funny, he has the cahoonas (don't know how to spell, lol) to crawl into the scariest, tightest, darkest places, but comes running out like a little girl screaming at the first shadow. I hope it gets better. I'm thinking it's just a way to give the regular cast a break, and fill air time.

I've caught some of them, they're not too bad but I do agree that Brian has a tendency to be a little over the top with his excitement. I've always been annoyed by Andy Andrews but he seems a little more tolerable in this show.

Which one is Andy Andrew? Is that the Irish lad? If so, he seems to blow things up a bit too. He always is like "it's coming...get out of there!!!" I suppose you have to have those kind of people to keep others interested in the show. Bring excitement when there's really nothing going on paranormal wise anyways.

Andy is the slender little Assistant Lead guy. He's a skeptic and is a big time de-bunker, and he gets REALLY emotional when he thinks he sees something. I'd thought TAPS had actually released Brian from the organization AND the show, but there he is! As for the GH International, I watch them to see how they evaluate things...like EVPs, actual sounds, etc., but it's still just an extention of TAPS, my preferred program with Jason and Grant. I'd rather watch them do their thing in the United States 'cause I don't think our spirits in this new world are as demonic as those over seas....and the evil part of ghost hunting is not my thing.... Same with the Paranormal group from Penn State..if they'd not connected immediately to the devil , I'd enjoy the program a little more.

The past few episodes of "Paranormal State" were demon-less. I think that was probably an A&E decision putting those three episodes involving demons first. I was turned off by that also but I found the past few episodes more interesting. It would be tough, if not impossible, for a TV network to make a show that actual ghost hunters wouldn't find some problems with.

Yeah, I felt really bad for the lady that was an EVP fanadic... I don't recall how they explained away all her EVPs except that you couldn't tell what they were..... Poor lady.... finally getting some "help"....But, that was the last thing I'd have though they'd have done on that program. I still have a rough time accepting the fact that this college group has so many "connections" that they can just pick up a phone and call in people on short notice like that. I guess thay're lucky to know so many psychics and priests who follow them, eh?

Yeah...I thought it was funny that out of the blue, Lorraine was just a phone call away Wonder what she'd say about Prospect? Anyways there was a show where (I can't remember which one) the lead guy gave someone a bottle of holy water for protection. I'm sorry, I even believe in demons whole heartedly, but holy water?....Please. I think all that is an extention of the movie Exorcist. But the episode with the hole in the backyard....that was a little creepy. But one doesn't know what is edited out, and what is put in for show purposes. Just the other night I was listening to Jason and Grant's radio show, and they said (besides that they just got back from Ohio ) that someone with the international show offended Donna and she was upset. Like they wanted her to do something that she disagreed with, and they said some pretty upsetting things to her. So you never know what's for show.

It's because Lorraine is in his top friends on Myspace. I've got Goverenor Ted Strickland in mine and I know if I called him up and said "Hey Ted I need some help" he'd drop everything...including the phone.

I agree that you never know what is for the show. But, what bothers me is how the show/fame tends to change people. That's just my opinion. And, yes that P.S. show with the hole in the backyard made me uneasy as well. Didn't like that

Did you see the one with the haunted piano?? Again, it was serious enough to call in Lorraine (?) and they ended up destroying the piano and burying it piece by piece.... odd...

drama, drama, drama. I didn't see the one with the piano, but I can only imagine. I like the show to an extent. But I'm not one to believe in the holy water, or burying something. You know, if somethings out to get you, it's probably going to be able to succeed whether you throw holy water around or bury an object. And lets not forget, even though we love taps and ghost hunters, the master minds who put that show together can be a little dramatic too. I mean they'll have the wild music going, and someones eyes will bug out and say "did you hear that"? Commerical, then oh it was just so and so walking into a door. I mean just things like that. But that's what they have to do for those who aren't into it like we all are. We know what's out there, we don't need to have it dramatized to make us believe. But others do. And some are just entertained, or just entertaining the idea of the paranormal. Not acutally out and about doing what we do (like at Prospect)
