Shocked Lex, would your partner be interested in helping us to find the viral identity that we can develop involving Prospect Place? We have a real great set of people here who'd love to develop the Historical character of the Estate but we're not sure of how to do it and who to target. We feel the historical value of this effort could be priceless to the area. Our efforts may be small in accordance to the Bryn Du comparison, but it could some day become it's competition if we could get the right support. I guess we need to advertise it's story a little more, and bring the name of Prospect Place to the tip of everyone's tongue....We'd love to draw in investors....so....our "save the barn" BBQ can get us some practice in doing what we need to do, finding out just how to get others involved in the deep love we have for the Estate. Will you continue to help us and get the word out? Help us identify our "market" and gain the acknowledgement of the Adams' importance in the development of this county and it's prosperity ?

(okay...now I'll get down off my soap box and hope we can get this thing together the way we need to!!!!)

I'll help with anything...hopefully I've mentioned that before. My business partner is too busy to get involved personally but I can always bounce ideas off of him. Besides our partnership he owns another business and has two kids and a wife keeping him busy. I know how he brings in the business. It's not difficult but it takes some persistence and a positive attitude.

I'd like to get a meeting together on Saturday the 29th around 4:00 in the afternoon in the Ladies' Parlor at Prospect Place. I would like people who are interested in helping to organize this fund raising event to come with some serious direction in mind! I admit, I really need help to get something profitable going; I can arrange small fun events but we need this thing to be BIGGER!!! Razz ! So, please, any and everyone, come with your thinking caps on and a lot of Prospect energy!!! (And DENISE, Please try to come!!!! Wink )

Wow! This thing is taking on a life of it's own! Wouldn't expect anything else with realtion to Prospect Place Twisted Evil Anyways...I'm still working on the babysitter thing. I know I have a Denison bar party that I'm hosting in Newark on that Friday night. Nothing on Saturday, just need the same babysitter, so I'll definately check today and get back with you. You know I was thinking....maybe we could get Tammy Longenberger in on this. It was one of her dad's projects of love, so maybe she would be interested in sponsering something. I might have my husband jump on board with that one, he can sweet talk anyone. I'm sad he can't come to the meeting (again...he's going to Vegas, lucky) but he always has great ideas and I'll get some info before I come.

I am so truley elated that soooo many people want to help. As long as we do it right, we can save that barn yet!

Denise Very Happy

WE GOT A HOG FROM A PLACE IN CANTON LAST YR. IT WAS A 75LB HOG STUFFED WITH 5 CHICKENS (NOT MY IDEA LOL) AND ALREADY COOKED. IT COST ABOUT $300 AND FED 80 PEOPLE WITH MEAT LEFT OVER

The Polo matches she is refering to are the ones in Granville at the "Bryn Du" Mansion (the other mansion Dave Longenberger was preserving before his illness, remember Paulette, I told you about that place last time I saw you). They have alot more space though at Bryn Du. I mean there's alot of land in the front of Prospect, but not like Granville. Pig Roast...you'd have to pay a person to do that, and to purchase the hog. Might eat into the profit too much. Sounds cool, but we'd have to check out pricing. I'm actually catering a Pig Roast wedding this summer and we've hired an outside vendor to roast the hog, so I'll have to check to see how much that would cost. Maybe it isn't that bad. I'll check and get back to you all.

I just love that everyone is excited about the fundraiser. It will be so great meeting everyone who cares so deeply for the future of this great estate.

Denise

One more note... Idea I know Easter's coming and the TAPS program will be airing soon. Give me an idea of who might be able to attend a meeting at Prospect Place on the afternoon of March 29th...interested parties who wish to help with the organization of our BBQ (first). I'm guiding the tours that night and thought maybe we could get as many interested people as possible there to throw some things out on the table so we can get started scheduling for this fund raiser. George, Randy, Garnet, Veronica, and any other board members are invited also.
Is this possible???????

At the meeting, when Veronica brought up the cleaning of the barn this Saturday, it was mentioned that we try to get ALL available and capable volunteers to help. Sorry.... Actually, we expect locals and board members to take this responsibility, but we love all the interest and excitement you all show so you're ALL invited to help!!! Very Happy We are so excited about your energy!!!
