I will be moving to York, not New York. York is a city of about 75,000 persons located in the north eastern quarter of England. Here's a wiki:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/York
I have a job working part-time for a company there (via the internet) and they want me back full-time. I'm going as soon as I can. Could be as early as autumn or as late as June 2009 (this is when my employer has set my deadline for reporting to work at the office). I cannot go before my work permit and visa are in place, that would likely be sometime in October.
Merrily I go, back to Old Blighty!
Cheers!
George

The Board of Directors will assume all responsibilities and continue to operate the mansion in perpetuity. A member of the Board is considering moving in as permanent care-taker.
Hopefully one day the political/economic climate in this country will be more conducive to a proper restoration of the mansion. I am pleased that I was simply able to preserve it for the future. At this point that is all we can hope for.

Ah thats cool. I know a family member of mine was on the board at one time. And obviously I can't remember what name I log on here with 1/2 the time cause I just read a post of mine under a different name. LMAO
Some of the towns people here don't care for the whole ghost hunt thing. (Just what I heard at work) They think you would get better outcome of funding and donations from local people if it was geared more towards the restoration and not the ghost hunting thing but thats what I heard. I have no opinion about it so please, all of you hunters, don't bash me lol. Just what I heard at the ole po. Anyways good luck with it all.

Most of us are very understanding, that this isn't for everyone. Those of us in it for the long haul know what all it intails and that it isn't all glamourous. Only question I really have, is that do they know that the money from the hunts does go towards keeping the house running. If they don't want to do a hunt, do they know they can just do a tour? He has had things in the past too that didn't involve ghost hunting at all. But, we ( at least most people I know) would never bash anyone for not wanting to do ghost hunting.

Doing anything out of the ordinary in a small town is a sure way of working your organization into the rumor mill. I wouldn't be too concerned about it. _________________ myspace.com/is300lex

NO MATTER WHAT YOU DO, YOU CANT PLEASE EVERYONE. GEORGE HAS TRIED EVERYTHING HE COULD BUT THOSE SAME TOWNS PEOPLE DIDNT SUPPORT ANY OF THE EFFORTS. HE HAS TRIED TRACTOR SHOWS, CAR SHOWS, CIVIL WAR RE-ENACTMENTS, AND DANCES. NOBODY SHOWED UP. THE GHOST HUNTS ARE WHAT PAY THE BILLS AND KEEP THE PLACE GOING. WE HAVE TO GO WITH WHAT WORKS

What you have done has been great for the restoration of the mansion, we are sorry that some of the towns people do not understand what they have in there community, maybe they will in time .

Thank you Dansir! I could not have said that any better myself.
Now that I'm going maybe you will get more support. I can't imagine why locals would NOT support this effort to save the mansion, except for me (and Felix). I know many of them guessed my lifestyle and it is very likely to have been a major problem for some. Tough! It's the 21st century, get over it!
I really honestly and sincerely wish the Adams Center and all those affiliated with it the best of luck with the whole thing and hope someday the building does get finished. Maybe I can return to see it one day. My duty now is to make certain things are in place so that the Center has income and it's Trustee's are capable of carrying on after me.
Thank you.
George

They probably still think it's 1900 in Trinway...in fact, they're probably wondering why the mansion needs restored already having basically just been built. _________________ myspace.com/is300lex

Dresden has had its ups and downs with prosperity using the baskets as their main draw. I feel that once we all get involved with the "selling" of the historical value of Prospect Place and it's tourism value, they too may open at least one eye to it's donation to their Longeberger basket sales.
Far be it from me to dream, but we need to believe in anything we do to make anything work!! We really need to expand our minds and pull in others to realize how important this effort can be to everyone!! I'd LOVE to get the armies out there and see a real Civil War Re-enactment!! I'd LOVE to be able to get together a decent car show....Every little bit will help, right?? This is where we need the energies of fresh minds to help us with this.... _________________ Assistant Lead Investigator
