Did anyone watch Ghost Hunters last night? I must say I am "jealous" of that evp. Makes me wonder if I was on the right track for one of my theories. What did you guys think about it?

If we could get female voices to react on tape or digital recorders like that we'd be STOKED!! I saw it several times....had to replay it ON DEMAND a couple extra times cause I fell asleep once and didn't believe my ears when I actually heard it. These are voices we'd love to catch at PP....( Has anyone gotten any female voice phenomena at PP?????) Most of the EVP stories I've heard have been male and demanding that someone LEAVE! _________________ Assistant Lead Investigator

I'm going on a private hunt up at OSR in June and someone is supposed to have an authentic "Frank's Box". I'm interested to see that thing up close and in person. I'm a skeptic so I have to see things live to believe it but I'm also a tech geek so I find any and all equipment VERY interesting. _________________ myspace.com/is300lex

OSR is one of my dream hunts....and I hear it's difficult to get in now. So, please keep good notes and give us a report!!! OK? As for the GH show the other night, I also liked the fact that the second investigation was mainly a debunking! It's important for everyone who feels like their environment may be "haunted" to RELAX first and think of the possibilities...and PROBABILITIES... like the EMFs from uninsulated electrical wires, and creaky settling old floors... maybe keep in mind "mice" , "bats", and "pigeons" (PP) that may have crept into an open space. Once these things are understood, THEN look beyond the realm of normal! haha... (I may have just taken the excitement out of ghost hunting...hahaha ) _________________ Assistant Lead Investigator

We have gotten one female voice at PP... you can hear a little girl humming while 2 people are talking in the basement.
I want to watch that episode again and see something with that audio. I'll get back to ya on that once I watch again.
I'm trying my darndest (lol don't even think that's a word) to find the skimatics (sp?) for the frank's box/spericom thing. I'm interested to test it out myself.
We're going to OSR in May. I think they just opened up another date hurry and check. It was the 24th of May. I will let you know how it goes for us. I have some unsettled business to finish there. Last time, one of our members and I were walking in the wardens area and to make a long story short, something was thrown at us and it caught me so off guard and scared the crap outta me....

Having built one and tested it under laboratory conditions I can say save your efforts. All it does is pick up snippets of broadcast transmissions and play them in a random manner allowing the mind to kick in and try to make order from chaos. It's audio paraedolia is all.
I even modified my box to include a port allowing the use of a high speed data logger. From that I wasable to determine exactly what station was providing the snippet as the box tuned across the band. That voice that sounded remarkably like Rush Limbaugh , when compared to the frequency, station, and time WAS in fact Rush Limbaugh. His show was airing on that station at that time of day.
So i am not convinced these boxes will do anything more than create the chaos for you mind to attempt to organize. Words and phrases? Certainly. But paranormal? No more so than any AM (or FM depending on your box) radio could capture. _________________ CaveRat is an

Where were you a couple days ago? I went out and got stuff I found on a website to build one. We got the idea from
http://ufogeek.com/index.php?s=ghost+box
We followed everything exactly but nothing really happened. Starting to think you're better off with a regular recorder and just some white noise really. If you wanted to hear what you were recording, just plug in some earphones I guess.

I'll post something about what the "box" they have it OSR does and how they were using it. I'm pretty skeptical of this thing mostly because of it being able to pick up radio frequencies.
Rush Limbaugh is kind of spooky at times though _________________ myspace.com/is300lex

When's your hunt? We're going May 17th. Let us know about the box. The more I think about it the more I agree with you. Of course this is without having seen one in action. I'm thinking now, how could you use something like that when you know you are going to pick up other voices. Again this is being said with out having seen one work in person. Why couldn't white noise be used when doing an evp session. I would think that would be more reliable. I'm sure you could pulg in earphones to hear it as you are recording. Just a thought.
